I was scheduled to run the Seattle Half-Marathon, but I haven't done any running since I got sick over a month ago. Now I'm debating whether I should walk the half-marathon, or try for walking the full marathon... Maybe I'll head over to Jock n' Jill and get some advice.
Speaking of being ill, my sore throat is gone, but the headaches are back. I spent the majority of the day in bed at Bee's house ill. My head hurt so much I just wanted to cry. I slept until two p.m.-ish, and then we crashed on the couch.
Bee brought me lots of peppermint tea, and kindly lectured me on taking care of myself. I don't know what that means when people say it. I don't neglect myself, I don't think. I just hate doctor's offices. He also tried to massage the pain away, but it didn't turn out to be a muscular thing this time. Anyone who has known me for awhile knows that I end up with a lot headaches related to tense muscles.
We watched soccer (Seattle vs. Houston), football (Seattle vs. Detroit), and some Nascar something or other.
I almost forgot! Bee won an award on Saturday night for a flight he did in his sailplane down to the Blue Mountains. It was 563 kilometers, several hours, and he flew down over territory that people in the soaring association don't traverse normally. Very cool.
